  • jeans wearing out too fast

I have been buying wrangler relaxed fit U jeans in size 38x30 for years. Over the past couple of years I have been having issues with the belt loop above the right side of the left rear pocket popping off. Additionally the right side of the left rear pocket will tear out as in a more recent case when i was at work and sat down to put on Lab booties (I have a sit down job) and the jeans tore out so bad I had to go to the bathroom with packing tape and cob a repair on them so i could get through the evening at work. Fortunately I wear a Lab coat so no one could see. Anyway, I have thrown out... More...

I wear the relaxed fit wranglers and have for many years. In the past few years, I've been noticing tears on the upper left rear pocket as well as the belt loop located to the right of the left rear pocket popping out after only a couple of months. The last time I filed a complaint to them about this, I was ignored. I'm not even rough in these jeans. I have a sit down job so it makes no sense as to why they are wearing out so fast. I've also noticed this with a lot of clothing lately. I cannot afford to keep going out and buying pants every 2 months. More...

  • Poor jean quality

The back pockets are tearing at the rivets on the Wrangler blue jeans. Been wearing them for many many years (50 or more) with no problems but now seems every pair tears after only being worn a few times. Looking at some old jeans that don't tear it appears that the hole where the rivet goes was sewn around like a button hole but doesn't appear this is still the case. I see I'm not the only one with this problem. More...

  • Good Company gone Bad.

Yeah, this is really sad… I’ve worn Wrangler Jeans 40-50 years, all my adult life. I’ve always been happy with the durability and value until now. All my belt loops keep tearing out soon after I buy them and the pants in general don’t hold up the way they use to. . It’s a shame too, Wrangler use to be a good company. . . I guess it’s time to start shopping for another blue jean manufacture that still delivers quality. I will miss the old days when you didn’t have to think about buying jeans, just go out and buy a pair of wrangles. But not... More...

Let me preface my complaint buy saying that I have bought and worn Wrangler exclusively for some twenty years. In the last 18 months I have had five pair (3 carpenter, 1 relaxed fit, and 1 cowboy cut)rip in the fabric, not the seam, just to the left (from my vantage point)of the zipper. I've talked to customer service at Wrangler a couple time about this and they don't seem to know anything about the problem. Something has obviously changed. For the longest time I could rely on getting years of use out of these jeans, but not any more. I'm sorry to say that I'm now... More...

  • Poor Rivet/rivet hole Construction on rear pockets

This is the 12th pair of Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans (936DEN & 13MWZPW) that have pulled rivets from top of the back pockets. My husband has worn nothing but wrangler jeans for 39 years! We have replaced 9 pair of these but are having trouble with the last 3 pair as your Wrangler Rep, Bill (from the Dallas area) has not come through Abilene to the Farm & Ranch Western Wear Store where we left the last three pair to be checked by him. They replaced 3 other pair, but thought your rep needed to check these last three. The Academy store gave us no trouble in their replacements, but we are... More...

Spending $12.00each pair for jeans to have repair work done at each rivet where merely placing his hand in his pocket tears the rivet thru like paper. He is a Rancher and he is very set in his ways but he has admitted that he may have to look at other manufacturers as a $25.00 pair of Jeans + $12.00 to repair cause they are brand new as he purchases around 4-5 pairs a season and last years become work jeans and the newer ones are saved for dress. • Wranglers

I am glad to be reading all of these reviews and know it's not just us. We are having the same problems with my husbands jeans. He has always worn Wranglers and here lately all of his jeans are ripping. He has some that have ripped at the back pocket and some that have ripped in the crotch by the zipper. ( like 4 or 5 pairs) Its a shame we spend this much money on jeans to have them do this. More...

  • 13MWZ back pockets tearing

My husband has been wearing Wrangler 13MWZ for more than 35 years. He has never had a problem with the quality of Wrangler jeans until this last year. The back pocket rivets have been tearing at the corners and the jeans are less than 1-2 months old. He has some 13MWZ's that are over 2 years old and the back pockets have not torn. We buy the 13MWZ's at Cavender's and Academy. Of course we return for replacement jeans but what's the use when they too tear. Would like to know what is going on with Wrangler and if they are now using inferior materials to manufacturer... More...

two weeks ago i sent your company an email about in the last 4 months i have bought my son wrangler jeans and three of the four pairs that i have bought him all ripped on the left side by the zipper where you can't even fix them i feel that the price the consumer pays for your jeans we should at least get some wear out of them and not have to purchase new ones every other month the quality of your company's jeans have gone down extremely especially if you can't get the courage and at least the consumer know that you appreciate hearing from them and are checking into the problem More...

  • wrangler carpenter jeans

In December, I purchased two pair of Lee (Loose Straight Leg and Relaxed Straight) and one pair of Wrangler (Carpenter) jeans for my husband, to replace the same Lees and Wranglers that had torn in the last year. Now, all of the new jeans have torn in the area of the inside corner of the rear pocket within just a couple of wearings. I intended to simply throw them away and replace them again, but when I went online to purchase new jeans, I immediately saw repeated customer reviews complaining of the same problem. This obviously must be a manufacturing problem. I would a like the jeans... More...

  • Wrinkles and poorly made

My boyfriend has been buying the same jeans for work for years and in the last couple of years they are just horribly made first of all ever seam is messed up or overlapping and the cuffs are not even close to even. But recently I bought him 3 pair at Orchlen farm store which fyi are about 6 bucks higher than wal mart across the street but was hoping the quality would be better what a joke. got them home to wash them 2 pair were missing a button and one pair had not belt loops so I went back to the store and exchanged them for the least defective pairs myself and the salesperson could find... • Unhappy with Wrangler

Over the years we have purchased Wrangler jeans for my husband, but over the last couple of years I have been very disappointed with the quality of the material. They get a whole by the back pocket, then they just rip down the side of the pocket. This last pair I returned to the store. He had them for 3 weeks and wore them twice. I am seriously considering switching to another brand. My husband works construction and we purchase many pairs of jeans throughout the year. We need a pair of jeans that are of good quality. So very disappointed. More...

  • Tearing Jeans

I'm now on my third pair of Wrangler 13MWZ Cowboy Cut® Original Fit Jean - Stonewash Finish that have malfunctioned at the exact same place. A tear starts at the pocket rivet, then eventually tears right along side the pocket. This is three pairs in less than a year. I have worn Wranglers faithfully for years because of the quality, appearance and durability. I'm beginning to think I may need to change brands. The first pair tearing I chalked up to the fact that I had gained a little weight over the holidays and stretched them too much. However the second and third pair fit... More...

  • Bad Jeans

I purchased a pair of Wrangler jeans about 3 months ago. I was bending over to tie my shoe and they ripped from the crotch along the zipper to the top. I have a picture if needed. I was shocked at the quality of these jeans. I have been buying Wranglers forever. But, I am very disappointed in the quality and substance of your jeans these days. I think I will be switching to Faded Glory's. They are getting better in quality and cheaper in price. I never fill these things out but this really shocked me because I had such faith in Wrangler. Also, when I research for Wrangler Jeans... More...

  • Jeans defective....

My husband's new Wrangler blue jeans come out of the washer and dryer with horrible wrinkles. I have ironed them, AND, took them to the dry cleaners to have them starched and steam pressed. I am not prepared to do that each time they're washed because it doesn't matter what I do, the wrinkles are still there even after the dry cleaning! Fabric softener, cold water, cooler or hotter dryer, or creasing while wet and hanging them dry doesn't help either. These are deep, deep wrinkles that are in the material from the factory......Regardless of how it is processed, the... More...

  • wrangler jeans wear thru

message: Regarding cowboy cut and slim fit blue jeans. In the crotch area just to the left of the zipper, all my jeans have an area where the material tears thru. It seems that the bunching up of fabric in this area causes a rub thru if you will. I have several pairs of jeans that are just now getting broken in and faded the way I like them but can't where them anymore, at least not in public because of the hole that develops in an awkward area. I have three new pair that are about a year old and the material is starting to wear thru here also. I'd like to see a solution to this... More...

My husband continues to have the same problem with his Wrangler cargo jeans in the exact spot of every pair he buys. He sent two (2) pairs back to the manufacturer after calling the company and getting a postage paid envelope. They sent him 2 new pairs and the replacement jeans have done the same thing. These are supposed to be tough jeans and they aren't tight on him by any means. Can't understand why this keeps happening. Jeans aren't cheap. More...

  • Poor Quality

I purchased a pair of Wrangler jeans about a month ago from Walmart and yesterday I got a 9 inch vertical rip beside the zipper. It is a very good thing I wear underwear! I bought these because I had always felt that Wrangler had quality and the weight of the denim felt substantial. What I discovered as I inspected the area is that all the white threads broke, all the blue threads were intact. I can only assume that the white threads are of poor quality. Of course I threw away the receipt because I did not feel the need to keep it. Sincerely, Todd More...

  • Defective Jeans

This is the second pair of Wrangler Jeans I purchased. The problem is that they tear right next to the pocket. The first pair tore there about two months ago. The second pair was found torn yesterday. The tear is vertical and it runs right next to the pocket. The first pair was on the right. The second was also on the right and a tear was starting on the left. Both were purchased at Walmart and the second pair is roughly 6 months old. The first pair was disposed of a few weeks ago. This is the info off of the tag on the second pair. 97601SB 34 X 30 RAS-R445-014 672787902657 The... More...

Same here with the wrangler jeans purchased at walmart have 10 pair that either the zipper has broken or pants have ripped by the zipper or crotch and cannot even be patched.Three pair are brand new.Thinking about replacing zippers on one or two pair to see if that is the problem, but the ripping around the zipper and crotch is not fixable.

My brother has been wearing wrangler jeans all of his life. For at least 50 years. He has wrangler jeans he has worn forever and he has not had any problems but now all of his newer relaxed jeans the rivet are pulling away. I have tried to repair them but it is impossible.

I hate to trash an American tradition but they are not even made in America anymore. I do not feel sorry for a company that thinks they can go out of country for cheap labor and buy cheap material to practice corporate greed.
This may ruin this company. Who will continue to buy a product that falls apart. It will be hard to break the Wrangler habit

After reading the many complaints about the poor quality of fabric used in manufacturing Wrangler blue jeans, I can attest to the truth of these messages' truthfulness. My husband came home from out with his buddies today and for the second time in just a few months time, his wrangler blue jeans had ripped down the side of the back pocket for several inches. When others say that this has been happening for about the last two years, that is correct. The fabric tears like paper, when tested. I don't have the receipts any longer, but two pair 0f jeans in just a few months is quite costly. We, too will be changing to a different brand of blue jeans.

Make 'em in North Carolina again! Too baggy in crotch, no little pocket on right side on rustler

Loved the Wrangler and Rustler jeans when they were made in North Carolina. Since they moved out several years ago, they continually go South. So baggy at the crotch, feel I need to buy a dildo. And, Rustler used to have the extra little pocket on right side...no longer:-( Need to find another brand of jeans!

I am so glad to find this site. I was begginning to think I was doing something wrong or maybe I had gotten a batch of porely constructed pants. I too am having the same problem. The brad on the left rear pocket. So far I have been able to return them to the store to only be surpised with another defective pair. Come on Wrangler---find the problem and iix it before we all go someplace else. You can contact me at lray482@windstreanm.net for more information. Thanks

I've been wearing Wrangler jeans for over 20 years. I have a few pair that are over 6 years old. They're a little worn and faded but are still good enough to work in.
Four pair that I have purchased this year have torn around the the brads in the back pocket. This has never happened until recently and I'm not doing anything differently than I've always done.
I don't expect a a pair to last six years but three months is unacceptable.

WalMart is not the problem. My husband has been wearing the same Wrangler jeans for over 30 years and has been having them starched at the cleaners for 20. Since Christmas 2012 he has had 6 pair rip out at the rivets on the pockets. Today they ripped about 6 inches down the left side of the left back pocket! We got some of the jeans at Academy and some at our local western wear store. We are just sick about this!

I have been wearing wrangler jean 13mwz,for most of my 64 years. I have never had a problem with the quality of wrangler jeans until this last year. The buttons have come off 4 pair, and the rivets on 4 other pair have torn at the back pockets. The last 2 pair that tore at the back pockets were only a month old. The other pairs were about 2 months old.I bought most of them at caventers western wear. That is 8 pair of jeans I can't wear that are only about 2 months old.I am retired, so they really don't get that bad of a wearing. They show pro rodeo cowboys wearing them, I don't know how that is working out!!

I thought I would look up Wrangler Jeans tonight and found this web site. I have had at least six pairs of Wrangler Jeans bought at Walmart tear. I thought I had done something to cause the tear. But the last two pairs were bought in the last couple of months. The tear is vertical and always starts along side of the rear pocket. The material they are using must be a poor grade of material. After seeing all of the post on this subject I will not be buying Wrangler Jeans any longer. Apparently the Wrangler Jean Company and Walmart do not care about the quality they sell any longer.

Looks like everyone is having the same problem with these Wrangler Jeans from Wal-mart!! My husband has been a faithful Wrangler man for 8 years! He switched from Levi jeans!! When you work constructuction you want a pair of jeans that hold up ,and these jeans did fine until the Company switched over to what my husband calls a u shape crotch !! Which he says no longer fit tight enough in the crotch when you are stepping up a step over 2 foot!! The are terrible at ripping out!! Who wants to be on a job where house building is going on ,and you have workers, contracters, and home owners coming in to look at the process going on and your butt or crotch is showing!! We will no longer be spending our hard earned money on these jeans!!! GOOD LUCK WRANGLER FROM ALL THE WORKING MEN !!!

One thing I've seen in common about the complaints many people appear to address about the Wrangler jeans they purchase is that most have purchased their Wrangler's at Walmart. Now, I've been a fan of Wrangler jeans for some years and can attest to the fact that they are a quality product and besides an odd pair that I bought and found at a thrift store, the Wrangler jeans I've had have held up quite nicely. Having said this, I would never purchase Wrangler jeans at Walmart, being that the line they mostly sell are the Five Star 'Premium' jeans. Not only have I heard bad things about these jeans, they look so awful that I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole (sorry Brett Farve). The best jeans Wrangler continue to make for the price they are sold at are the 13 MWZ (936 Slim Fit for me). Last year, I purchased a pair of Wrangler's new Premium Performance 'rigid' jeans and they have held up incredibly. For $28 to $36, they cannot be beat. Wrangler premium performance jeans are made of 14 oz. denim and break in amazingly. I recommend them to anyone with a negative experience or anyone reading this thread.
